Thomas Tusser (1524–1580) was an English poet and farmer, best known for his instructional poem Five Hundred Points of Good Husbandry, published in 1557, and for the oft-repeated proverb, "A fool and his money are soon parted." While Five Hundred Points of Good Husbandry was written towards the end of the medieval age, it serves as a practical guide to many of the farming practices of the time.
